Then, during the first half with Jiaxing Sr., goalie Apple Zhao had several amazing saves to keep the score at 0:0. However, although Nanmo approached their opponents’ net as much as possible, Jiaxing Sr. still scored twice. As a result, they lost both the games.

The Nanmo Girls also played very hard and they created plenty of opportunities to score,
but they finally lost during penalty kicks and got the 6th place of the tournament.
After the tournament, Andrew Wu praised the team spirit of Nanmo Boys with some moving words: “It is really awesome to realize that my teammates played so hard no matter how serious they injured. We always encouraged and supported each other when we met some difficulties. So excited were we that we haven’t lose the match with SIP, and we finally succeed in getting the 5th place which is the same as last year.”
Annie Chen, who was both the boys’ team manager and the girls’ team member, also expressed her thanks to the Grade 12 players who will leave the team this year when they graduate: “It is really difficult for me to accept the truth that this is the last season for these boys and girls. There is no such thing as an endless meal, just don’t want to say good bye to my teammates, the soccer field and the match seasons in high school…Now I can’t predict my feeling if I were leaving, but I am sad while they are leaving.”
“Soccer means youth.” The amazing season must be one of the most unforgettable memories in our campus life. Soccer is the symbol of happiness. Let’s go, Nanmo Lions!
