Halloween has become NANMO’s most popular and exciting festivals, and many students celebrate this festival with so much enthusiasm. Halloween is a diversified and open festival that gives all students and teachers a chance to show their unique and different identity through their special Halloween costumes. This year at NANMO, the new Halloween festival took place on November 1st, 2019. Earlier in the morning, teachers’ Halloween costumes left students a deep impression which made the entire school full of the Halloween atmosphere. When the last class bell rang, lots of students ran out of their classroom because they all wanted to put on their Halloween costumes and did a fancy make-up in order to have a stunning appearance for the Halloween assembly. We saw the students looking different than usual. There were cute Mario family members, gorgeous witches, pretty Chinese ancient Hanfu clothes, vivid Cinderella and Snow-White princesses and so on. Everyone’s costume was peculiar and attractive. Of course, students took a lot of selfies with each other.
After the first heart-stirring dancing performance from SUID members, the atmosphere was even more fervent. The first game was called “Charades”, and students and teachers were mixed but divided into two groups. The funny reactions from participants on the stage made the audiences laugh, and cheer for the winning team. Besides, the game “Bobbing for Apples” was super fascinating too. We were so interested in the game that some of the spectators even stood up and cheered for the players. Next, the teachers’ and students’ Halloween costumes show got the biggest attention. Teachers’ and students’ funny and strange poses elicited laughter and cheers from the audience and screams filled 315 room when the assembly was taking place. After the dance performance from last year’s SUID members, the Halloween assembly ended successfully. All the students and teachers had a great and enjoyable time.
Halloween assemblies at NANMO get the high evaluations every year, NANMO combines study with fun which makes students have the desire to study harder, through this activity, students get a chance to release some pressure. We are looking forward to the next Halloween assembly at NANMO!
