Our common sense about AP subjects is that AP courses are difficult, boring, and have hard exams. However, don’t let these factors blind your choices.
I have to say, maybe AP is hard and boring, but Mr. Schwartz, the teacher of AP Macroeconomics, makes the classroom teaching environment relaxed with his excellent language art and unique teaching style. The teacher leads us to solve knowledge points one by one, and follows our acceptance level and learning progress. If anyone has any questions, we can raise our hands when the teacher pauses teaching. He will notice and make explanations, not just repeat the theoretical knowledge on the PPT. Instead, he will combine examples from our daily life with things we don’t understand to make further and more detailed explanations that are easier for us to understand. Generally speaking, we can understand everything introduced in class. If there are still difficulties, he is willing to help us after class or during lunch break in order to not affect the teaching progress of the class.
AP Economics class is neither a monologue, nor do we only sit down and accept the knowledge. Instead, he teaches us knowledge points, theories and charts in a series of light-hearted conversations and down-to-earth examples. He leads us to solve one problem after another and overcome one difficulty after another. The average score of 90%+ in the class is also due to his humorous but high-quality teaching style.
