The 2019 BCOS Badminton Tournament

Just at the beginning of March, Ms. Liu took the Nanmo badminton team (Shanghai Nanyang Model Private Highschool) to the 2019 BCOS Badminton Tournament. The Nanmo team this year consists of very competitive players. Jason and Eva are two of the top players who scored highly in the Tournament from Nanmo. Let’s take a look at what they think about how the epic games went.

Eva, the player from 11A is the Champion of the girls’ single game.

Q: What were some challenges during the game?

Eva: There were two players from Maple Leaf Zhenjiang. They are very skillful players. I could hardly defend against their powerful and sudden attacks. At First, I could only play passively. Then, I started to keep up, and finally anticipate some of their possible moves.

Q: That was certainly a magnificent game. So how long have you been preparing for the Tournament?

Eva: I have been practicing playing badminton for 8 to 9 years. Every weekend I practice with Jason.

Q: What is your goal for the 2020 BCOS Badminton Tournament?

Eva: Definitely win the championship again!

Jason, who is also from 11A won the second place of the boy’s single. Q: What were some challenges during the game? Who was your rival?

Jason: There was a player from SIP (Suzhou Industrial Park) who played very well. That is probably the only challenge I had in this year’s tournament.

Q: I heard from Eva that you guys practice together every weekend. Is that correct?

Jason: Yes, we took up playing badminton at the same time. We had the same coach all these years, and we were trained together. So, I know Eva and her skills very well.

Q: What is your goal for the 2020 BCOS Badminton Tournament?

Jason: I aim to win the championship next year.
