It is my honour and privilege to welcome you to Shanghai Nanyang Model Private School. Entering my second year at this school, I am thrilled to be returning to such a remarkable place. With great support and the strong reputation of Shanghai Nanyang Model Private School, there is no better place for a BC Program to thrive.
Our program is staffed by 16 dedicated and awesome teachers who are all certified in the province of British Columbia to complement all of the homeroom teachers, support staff, local teachers and administration from Nanmo who create a cohesive and integrated experience for our students. The students are truly getting the best of both worlds with the combination of our local and foreign staffs.
Our program is continuing to grow and strive for greater heights thanks to the dedication of a great team who work tirelessly to support our students. We are now at four classes of Grade 10 and 11 students to go along with our three classes of Grade 12 students. Last year we saw 100% success in graduation rates and sent our students to many of the top universities around the world with the majority going to Canada. We are excited to see many of our students off to McGill University, the University of Toronto and UBC along with other great Canadian Universities. We will continue to focus on not only making sure our students continue to get into the top universities but are prepared to be successful while they are there.
Nanmo continues to expand in regards to course offerings and extra-curricular activites. This year we have introduced a Makerspace Club as well as a Drone Racing Club to our already wide offerings of clubs that includes athletics (Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Hockey), fine arts (Music, Painting) and academic focused clubs. We also have a variety of creative elective offerings including but not limited to Engineering, Inquiry Based Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Law, Human Geography and others. We are excited to continue to increase the variety of options available to staff and students to further expand an already well-rounded program.
