In July, we represented Nanmo to participate the Fifty-four-cup basketball game co-organized by 16 schools. All of us realized these games would be the last ones cooperating with each other as a team, especially for those in Grade12, so we cherished this contest and all of us devoted to the games, hoping not to leave regrets to the respectful seniors like our captain Kevin Wang. It is lucky for us to have him on our team, as he really taught us a lot. Thus, we spared no effort to practice and prepare for the contest; we simulated the opponents, arranged tactics, and thought of the best way to contribute to the team. Although we did not get the championship, none of us felt ashamed since we showed our energies and potential during the games. In fact, we all admit that the reason why we lost is that they are more experienced and invested more efforts than we did. However, as Nanmo basketball team members, we are never frustrated by failures; conversely, it motivated us to get better. The regrets we undertook that day will turn into motivation. Although I could not read others’ minds, I clearly and certainly sensed that everyone’s strong will of not losing again and becoming more dedicated to our basketball team. Thus, I believe we will be mightier someday since our team culture is being tough on mentality, and we would work harder during the summer holiday in order to make a better team. I think this is why basketball is so attractive and fascinating. Here are some photos about our work in this summer.

Fifty-four-cup

Edward Qiu, Kevin Wang, and I in the contest organized by Under Armour during the summer holiday.

Ryan Xue: I sincerely hope that everyone who dedicates themselves to basketball can make significant advancement in the new school year, and the new team will embrace the regrets and wills of seniors who are taking further studies in colleges now and perceive it as a motivation.

EdwardQiu: Hard work pays off!!!

Michael Chen: Goals determine what you’re going to be.

Chris Liu: Beat Kevin Wang!!!

Neil Tang:Napoleon declared, “Victory belongs to the most persevering.” Year after year, I will always have passion about basketball!

Laurance Liu:Wish I will never make a mistake at free basket.

Rick Liu:After finishing the competition in the summer holiday, I realized the distance between the good players in other schools and me. I still have a lot of space to improve.

Also, my dream is to become a key member in the team and be more aggressive next time.

Hanson Lu: Want to be a dunker like Curry.

Jacob Zou: Higher faster stronger!!!

Kevin Xu: Hard work is my gift. I will try my best to contribute to the team and lead it to a better place.
