Eva Liu is the star student of April from Grade 12, Shanghai Nanyang Model Private High School. She is quite famous in our school, due to the activities she participates in and organizes. During her spare time, she also does a lot of public work for school. For example, she is the manager of the basketball team, a member of the Broadcasting Association, and she helps with the Public Relationship Department in SUID (Student Union International Department).

After 3 years in the NBC program, she finds that she really enjoys her time spent here. “Teachers here are really warm. Ms. Hale and Ms. Zhang provide so much help to me when I am confused. Mr. Chen has given me lots of advice, not only in studying, but also in life. You can directly feel the love and relationship between teachers and students.” Eva said.

As a student, Eva mentioned that the most important part is to have a special ability that not everyone can do like making videos and drawing. Self-organization is an ability that Eva has. During the conversation, she showed me the schedule she made. She also mentioned that, to become successful, students should be more active in class, for practicing English and gaining confidence.

She showed a great interest in writing plots and making videos. “Writing these things really help to develop myself. Compared to Grade 10, now I know more about history and literature devices.” Her eyes were shining while speaking. Recently, she also started practicing in-line skating (on the road) in order to do more exercise.

When I asked her about the person who inspires her, she said brother, even without thinking. She said she has a brother who encourages her a lot. Her brother always knows what she is confused and helps to solve her problems, just like magic.

In the future, she is thinking about being an activity organizer, or studying management in university first. Everyone knows that Eva has a talent in doing organizing events, so that it would be the best choice for her.

Eva’s motto is “Be a kind person.” She said she really appreciates everyone and everything around her. Since grade 10, she has always brought our class warmth and happiness.

In the last two months in her high school life, she hopes that everyone will treasure this time. This could be the last memory of our high school careers; Afterwards, we will become adults with our friends in high school. Some people we had already met with them for the last time, but we do not know.

Eva hopes that everyone will keep their best high school memories forever.

At last, Eva’s main goal for the year is to try her best to achieve higher marks. As she has made her decision to go to SFU and I hope her dreams come true in the future!
